147. Apartment Building (FY 1011)

864-866 Fourth Street
Contributing, ca. 1924

This Craftsman style duplex is a two-story weatherboarded frame building with a hip roof, overhanging bracketed eaves, a matching pent eave between first and second story levels, grouped six-over-one and eight-over-one sash windows, and matching side entrance porches with grouped posts, a plain balustrade, and a solid balustraded deck.

Like its adjacent buildings, this apartment building was constructed as rental property by the children and heirs of prominent early twentieth century real estate investor Frank Miller. They held the property until 1971. (TR, CD)
