Meet Some of Our Neighbors.

Shop for home.

Whether you’re in need of home furnishings or decor, West End’s retail is a great place to help make your house a home. We recently welcomed Fiddle & Fig as well as Contempo Furniture to join our other West End staples like Idlewild Interiors.

Smoke a brisket.

Starting Saturday off right is just a stroll around the corner to Smoke City Meats where you can find everything you need to get your weekend grilling going. If you’re more in the mood for sea fare, Sea Products is just a few steps away.

Have a beer.

Whether its Friday at five or Tuesday night trivia, Joymongers Barrel Hall is ready to welcome you with a cold beer and a hot meal from the nightly food trucks. If you need something stronger, head up the street to the West End’s latest cocktail bar, Joyner’s.

Get to know your neighbors. Join our mailing list.

We love to get together to plan events, share neighborhood news, and reach out for volunteers to make our city a better place to live. Please join our list to be always in the know about what’s going on in the West End!

Meet our neighborhood President, Breonte Guy.

I am Breonte Guy, President of the West End Association. Before my husband, Matt Early, and I moved to Winston-Salem seven years ago, we scoured the internet and pressed area friends for information about the city’s neighborhoods. The West End neighborhood stood out to us for multiple reasons. In addition to its lovely historic homes, the neighborhood was LGBTQ+-friendly, pet-friendly, and supportive of the arts. We felt it could be a welcoming and affirming environment to call home, and we have not been disappointed. West End neighbors have proven to be genuine, kind, and deeply invested in their community. This website serves as a window into our community. We hope you enjoy the view.
